NATTS PENETRANT TESTING SERVICES

Liquid Penetrant Testing ( PT ), also known as Liquid Penetrant Inspection( LPI) or Dye Penetrant Testing, is dependable for seeing surface-breaking flaws in materials  with a non-porous surface such as metals, plastics, glass and ceramics. This test method is also non destructive( NDT) and does not damage the tested parts.

NATTS NDT Testing Inc. is located in the Hyderabad, India domain and has play-act NDT penetrant testing assistances since 2012. The experiment relies on a fluorescent or visible color penetrant oozing into a shortcoming such as a lap, seam, rupture or rift. This forms a surface indication that can be evaluated under special lighting. The inspection presents information on the figure and sizing of any shortcomings that are open to the surface.

THE LIQUID PENETRANT TESTING PROCESS

Before performing a liquid penetrant test, the surface of the test material is necessary exhaustively cleaned to remove any contaminants that could prevent the penetrant from participating mistakes. Inscribing may be required if mechanical operations such as machining, sanding, or grit blasting have been performed on the item.

A fluorescent or red visible dye penetrant applies to the cleaned test material, then it is left on the surface for a sufficient time to allow penetrant to seep into a shortcoming. After this dwell duration has elapsed, the plethora penetrant flee from the surface. Next, a thin mantle of developer is applied to the item to assist in attracting penetrant captured in flaws back to the surface where it will be visible as indications.

The test item is considered under special illuminating so any manifestations can be evaluated according to the liquid penetrant measuring specification or customer requirements. When performing fluorescent penetrant inspection, indications must be viewed under darkened provisions with a high-intensity UV lamp.
